About the Image(s)
The last chapter in my series of grapes, now converted to wine, the separating of the juice from the skins. I thought it made a different and interesting image.

Hi Jack,
What a great shot! It's fascinating to see how grapes are pressed to make wine. I have visited vineyards a few times on wine tasting or on wedding events but I never get the chance to see the autumn harvest season. I thought that people stomped on grapes with their bare feet to press them (as in some traditional winemakers of old movies?) LOL!
in this image, the angle you shot is great with the horizontal cylinder on top and the extracted juice running down like the red waterfalls, with bubbles and foam on top of the stream. The light is beautiful too! Have you considered making a video clip of the grape pressing as well? Thank you for sharing your work through these beautiful images!
My question is: Did you make separate grape pressing for red wine and white wine?   Posted: 10/03/2026 10:03:43

I'm also enjoying the journey from vine to bottle! Very cool. Although unclear if this scene makes me want to drink a glass or red wine. So much activity - different textures - I can almost hear the splashing. The deep red color is exactly what I imagine the scene looked like. I love Kieu-Hanh's suggest to try a video next year. The images would be perfect for a Portfolio; PSA has several sections devoted to Portfolio development. I've not yet done that - but it might make sense in the future.   Posted: 10/06/2026 07:04:28
