About the Image(s)

Hope you all are having a wonderful Spring! One of my favorite flowers, "Bluebonnets", is also the state flower. This was taken 5 1 25 from the car window. Opened in APS-CS 6; resized, cropped, sharpened, and shadows/highlights.

Happy Spring! Nice purple color against the green background. Part of me wishes there was a more prominent subject; perhaps not needed as this is more of a landscape image.   Posted: 04/02/2026 15:04:49

Steven, thank you for your comments. I went by the same place yesterday and the flowers are not blooming as well this year.   Posted: 04/12/2026 15:08:55

So lucky to have this nearby.

I wish this lovely landscape photo had been taken in landscape mode.   Posted: 04/02/2026 17:23:26

Hi, Susan, I went by this same place yesterday to try a landscape image of this, but the flowers are not blooming well this year.   Posted: 04/12/2026 15:11:55

You're making me think we (I) should be taking a lot of photos in landscape and portrait for comparison. Now to just remember that.   Posted: 04/12/2026 15:36:05

I recall you posting these in years past, Ruth, they're such a pretty color. Sue mentions landscape vs portrait, but with the trees I think this still works in portrait mode. I like that we can see a curve with more flowers in the background.   Posted: 04/10/2026 01:32:07

I see what you're saying, Jack. Wish there was a portrait version and landscape version to compare.   Posted: 04/10/2026 03:01:44

Hi Ruth,
Your shot of blue bonnets are beautiful! Since you captured it through the car window, the high trees seem to be dominant.
I'd prefer to separate the blue bonnets from the entire scene to make them stand out more. I do hope that you also had more close up pictures of those beautiful flowers. Thanks for sharing your image!   Posted: 04/16/2026 22:26:39
