About the Image(s)

I liked the lonely car, in this image from a hotel room in San Francisco, several years ago as this was with an iPhone 6!

I like the B&W and also the tall presentation/aspect ratio (reinforces the height of the skyscrapers). The dark cloud looks ominous - although the remainder of the sky clear. Agree the single car creates interest - why is it there alone in the middle of the day? I wish it wasn't white - so that it would "pop" more (it's small relative to the scene).   Posted: 07/04/2025 11:03:49

Very interesting image. I keep noticing different things. I think that I keep wishing that the building in the center was straight. But then would it throw other parts of the image out of whack?   Posted: 07/07/2025 01:39:11

Jack, B/W works well with this image. The lone car does make one wonder why its there;   Posted: 07/08/2025 16:45:21

Hi Jack,
The angle you framed the buildings via the window of your hotel is well composed. I especially like the draperies on both sides of the hotel window and the window frame. The garage in the lower level helps to show the height of the surrounding buildings. The single car adds more interest to the rooftop deck. I feel that the car was hitting the brick wall?
The conversion to B&W works well, and the details of the buildings are sharp. I don't have any suggestion for improvement. Nice shot!   Posted: 07/22/2025 00:44:17

An unusual viewpoint plus the natural framing of the hotel interior. The black and white rendering gives it added character and interest value. You have a pretty good overall range of tones. Nice job   Posted: 07/28/2025 01:33:00

Enjoyed the angle shot through the window. The B&W treatment of this scene added mystery and intrigue.Nice contrast with the clouds and buildings. The single parked car really added to the composition.Minor suggestion,I would crop the two bright triangular shapes from the edge of the parking structure on lower left.   Posted: 07/28/2025 01:50:57
