Happy New Year to All! "Sky" was taken on 12 24 24, from my from yard.
The clouds are a bright white; the darker ones held the rain we would receive later on that night. Only cropped used.

We were thinking along the same lines this month, Ruth. The barren trees in front of the clouds tell a story of winter, of impending storm. It is a good way or presenting this. Posted: 01/01/2025 23:48:19

Nice image! Definitely creates a sense of winter/cold weather. I find the branches more interesting than the sky/clouds. Do you think the B&W works? To my eye - it makes the branches more prominent - almost abstract. Posted: 01/03/2025 10:22:46

Ruth,I like the simplicity of this seasonal image yet the branches are quite complex.I found the silhouettes to be interesting in contrast to the clouds.Perhaps,crop the bottom a bit to focus on the abstract features of the branches? Posted: 01/15/2025 00:42:51

The trees without leaves indicate winter, and the blue sky with white clouds gives the viewer the calmness, peace, and tranquility.
Since the trees are dominant in the foreground, I'd prefer to see more movements of clouds to make them more stand out from the sky. Posted: 01/16/2025 00:50:59
