About the Image(s)
I liked this image of one of the temples near Siem Reap Cambodia, due to the depth of field of looking through the doorway. I think a conventional camera would do better with the depth of field, and also the texture in the walls. But I like the saturation achieved with the iPhone built in editing.
Do you think the crop works on the bottom? It's "grounded", but if I cropped up higher it would be neater, and more of an abstract.

Interesting image - so many frames within frames! I think your crop works. I played with the image - trying tighter crops, B&W, and even inverting the whole mono image (making blacks white and whites black) - it did get more abstract - but I didn't find anything that was better than what you have. Agree a conventional camera would have given you more control/DOF - but the iPhone did a good job. Well done!   Posted: 12/06/2024 16:43:34

Jack, with the "grounded" entrance, this seems to pull one right into the image with the DOF and sharpness. Wishing you and your family a Blessed Christmas..   Posted: 12/13/2024 15:25:30

The way this is framed, the entrance (grounding) is what enters us into the photo. I like it this way. Without, we'd be looking at a bunch of nested rectangles.   Posted: 12/13/2024 16:24:49
