About the Image(s)

This image was taken last year in San Lorenzo Beach, Spain. My friend and I were standing at the rail early in the morning to take pictures and I found that the shadow of us is interesting. Please let me know what you think.

My eye was immediately drawn to the shadow of the people and I hoped that it was the photographer and a companion! Well done!

I think I'd crop a little of the right side of the photo. That white "thing" is a little distracting.   Posted: 11/03/2024 01:23:37

Before even reading your caption, or Steve's comments, I was drawn to the image for its wide angle perspective. The long row of buildings turns into the railing shadow, a curve that moves the eye through the image. I would normally not like so much empty sky, but it works here.
The people shadows are a bonus! Great image kieu hanh   Posted: 11/03/2024 02:40:00

Is this a pano or the wide-angle lens? To my eye - this very wide angle perspective creates a bit too much distortion. I appreciate that this is a style/aesthetic that many like.

The scene is expansive and has many interesting features.

Might try a tighter crop (perhaps a 16:9 landscape version) - since about half of this image is sky (which doesn't add that much interest).

Thanks, Steven! This is a wide angle shot. I agree with your suggestion to crop tighter the sky.   Posted: 11/30/2024 01:33:05

Kieu-Hanh, first my eye was drawn to the two figure shadows, then I looked at the rest. delightful image. the composition, sharpness, and color are well done. You might consider cropping a little on the right side to get rid of the white "thing".   Posted: 11/16/2024 18:08:10

There is a lot going on in this shot.I like the wide angle perspective and the placement of you and your friend. The gentle S curves and near/ far elements of the scene (both in skyline and reflection add to the appeal.I'd just crop out the white object on Rt. border.
