We had a few hours to kill before heading back to Florida from Ontario last week so decided to go in search of fall foliage not too far from the Toronto airport. This is my favorite of the photos because I like the colors, the lines, and the extra pop of color from the pink flowers.
Maybe crop out a little of the grass in the foreground?
Taken on iPhone 16. Hit auto adjust to amp up a teeny tiny bit.

Nice composition - the path adds so much and the pink flowers are a nice bonus. I'm not sure since this is a low res copy - but it doesn't look sharp to me - what do you think the phone focused on? Not sure I'd crop it - I think the foreground grass is fine. I might play with the exposure (dodge/burn particularly the steps) - to make it a little less flat. Posted: 11/13/2024 11:32:37
Yes, looking here does not look sharp at all while the original on my phone looks much sharper. In the original it's definitely sharpest at the brightest part of the steps (the part you'd dodge/burn?), but leaves are more distinct than here. Posted: 11/13/2024 15:00:53
I imported the image into LR; the pixel dimensions are 480 x 640 (176 kB) - when viewed at 100%, it's sharp. The lack of sharpness I incorrectly commented on is related to the small size of the file exported. The photograph itself is sharp. Posted: 11/13/2024 20:34:10
Susan, I'd leave the grass below the steps, however, you might consider cloning out the roof on the right side. The steps are leading along a beautiful trail and a nice sky to go with it. Posted: 11/16/2024 17:51:09
