Aww you have captured such a loving and caring behavior of the great blue heron. We see these Herons year round in our area but I have not come across their nests. Would like to photograph it myself. Beautiful!   Posted: 05/10/2023 16:16:47

What a lovely family. With so many hungry youngsters the parents are going to be very busy. They are such majestic birds...so prehistoric looking.   Posted: 05/10/2023 22:15:22

Where was this shot, Cami? It's a great scene.

It is so challenging to capture the eyes on a large group of birds; this turned out pretty well.

Great lighting on the birds and the foreground.   Posted: 05/11/2023 18:02:59

What a classic behavior image of GBH! Fantastic . Tack sharp and all four interacting. We have not had nests with more than 2 successful hatchlings this year. Most are just one. The Wood Strorks dominated this year and we had a very cold snap in late December that was rough on the eggs. So nice to see this one has three viable chicks! This time of year for nesting it doesn't get much better! For some reason I had to go back and add in your camera settings, Cami....sorry they weren't there to begin with. It took three tries to finally get it to take them.   Posted: 05/15/2023 15:08:30
