About the Image(s)
I was particularly drawn to this calla lily colour when I was at the garden centre. Taken while still in its pot, hand held with canon 5D Mk3 and 100 mm macro lens. Basic adjustments in Adobe Camera Raw and then in Photoshop. Cut out the flower and worked with a number of textures to create the background that’s similar to the flower and leaf. Added a border and cropped.

This is a lovely image. It looks like a postcard or a painting. I think the textures are very good and lend themselves to the flower. I also think that the colors are great as they lend themselves to the flower. Overall, I do not think there is anything to change or edit. Posted: 05/15/2023 14:17:06

Nadia, as usual lovely result with your edits. The colours of the lily are luscious and using background colours to harmonize with the flower is an excellent choice. Flipping the lilly and isolating the lily and one leaf simplifies the composition and makes it strong. Beautiful work. Posted: 05/16/2023 08:46:44

Nadia, just beautiful. The layering and textures really work here. My only critique, I it may be just my eye, is that I keep moving my view to the void of space above the flower. Perhaps cropping just some of the empty space may improve it, but, nonetheless, it's stunning. Posted: 05/18/2023 10:44:21
