About the Image(s)
I’m not doing much except portraits, and then minimal post processing in Lightroom until I get to do them properly. This was a studio shoot with a Cosplay model who was both Batman and Captain America on the night. I plan to add a street setting later, just not sure how to blend the smoke or whether to just add my own.

The lighting is nice and eerie. I'd like to see the ears more clearly. I didn't recognize the background as smoke until I read your comments on the image.   Posted: 05/03/2023 10:28:26
I love this sort of lighting.   Posted: 05/03/2023 20:53:10
Terry, what a fun project! I like everything about it. At the top of the image, there is just a bit of ceiling showing. I'd erase it.
It seems just a bit dark. I might add more smoke behind the left top or a tiny bit of life on the lips or eyes. And a street scene that is very dark and in the background behind the smoke could be incredible!   Posted: 05/04/2023 20:49:41

What a great and fun model shoot project!
I love the lighting and really like what Jim proposed with his updated version bringing up the shadows a little and toning down the highlights a little.
While I have no idea how you would blend the haze/smoke with e new background, I agree that adding a Gotham-like city/street scene background to the image would be pretty amazing ... might be possible to find a street setting with some smoke in it already and then layer a little more of your own in for extra?   Posted: 05/07/2023 09:54:48
