About the Image(s)
This image was taken at a park near my house. Usually quite busy but very few were out in the fog.
Z6ii 130mm ISO 400, f6.3 1/320
I started to make slight adjustments in Lightroom and realized that I was removing the fog, so I only brought down the shadows.
Then I pulled it into Photoshop to remove a spot from the lens.

A strong image Barbara, with lots of mood. I'm glad you chose not to process too much or "over-cook it". The muted colours caused by the fog are natural and very effective. Leaving a small portion of ground in the bottom leaves just enough of a base for the image to sit on. Some people may question the car, but I'm neither here nor there about it. Just glad there are no lights on it. Very well done.   Posted: 05/07/2023 06:56:31
Thanks, Ian. I was of two thoughts on this. The posted image felt like it gave a sense of place, scale. I have attached the same image, cropping out the car. By doing so, I have lost the tree trunks though. I like this one also, but have heard comments about the scale and losing the basis for the trees. As you said, here or/nor there.   Posted: 05/09/2023 09:08:14
The center of the image appears to be a break or trail through the woods and leads me into the image. I think that a bit more of the ground would provide a "place to stand" for the viewer. The car isn't a distraction for me.   Posted: 05/12/2023 16:30:56
Thanks, Gary. A good thought. Will look through my images to see if I have any with more foreground.   Posted: 05/13/2023 15:40:58
Agree, with Ian and Gary, the car is not bothersome. This image is all about mood and you have presented that well. Ive shot in fog at one of our NWR and love the additional mood that it gives to "nature". I personally would not use one with the car cropped out, but if it bothers you , you would have the option of using one of the replacement tools in PS. Sometimes they work, sometimes they just don't do it for me, but that is your decision as to what you like best!   Posted: 05/15/2023 09:38:34
Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the comments and ideas.   Posted: 05/15/2023 12:36:51
I like the mood and atmosphere created by the fog. The image evokes an emotional response from the viewer. I don't mind to keep the car. I might brighten up the image a little bit but not sure if that will destroy the moody feel of the image. Great capture   Posted: 05/31/2023 19:34:23
