This image was taken with a Nikon D800, 1/200 sec, F8, ISO 400. The date was August 26, 2019 at 2:22pm. I love the contrast and the reflection in the water of the beautiful purple lilies. I darken the lilies that was too hot from the sun. I crop the image to keep the viewers eyes in the image. I used Lightroom and Photoshop.

Linda, I like the way you cropped the image to simplify it. At first, I was going to suggest also cropping the half-lily pad at the bottom, but then I noticed the reflection of the purple water lily next to it. It might help to brighten the purple lily reflections a bit to bring more attention to them. Posted: 05/05/2023 17:54:32

Very pretty image! It's hard to get good shots when there are so many pads and leaves around. I agree with David and tried removing the bottom pad and accentuating the reflections. Posted: 05/14/2023 16:23:17
