About the Image(s)
Fuji X-T3 1/250 f/5.6 ISO 160, I used two strobes, which you can tell by the catchlights in her eyes. I set them up in kind of a traditional 2-light setup; key (upper right, primary light) and fill (lower left, as low as I could get it anyway). For modifiers I used two 2 X 3 soft boxes, to give me a pretty soft, even light. Plus, I intentionally didn't use a third to produce background light, since I wanted it to just fade into obscurity. I also didn't use a rim light, since I didn't think I needed it, and targeting on her would have been a very difficult. Not much editing really. Just some spot removal.
Since the most interesting thing I've shot in a month is a sushi roll (really, for a food photography project), and you guys like dogs, I figured I'd submit one from the way back machine. This was her 2nd bday in 2021. She loves being photographed, really. She's a super good girl.

"Domestic Animals?" Truth be told, I'm not sufficiently familiar with the various competition options (other than PSA) to say where else I could enter this image. What do you know about that scene?   Posted: 05/14/2023 15:37:24
