I made this image while in Thailand this summer. I shot this with my Olympus EM1 Mark III. ISO 200 1/200 sec f/7.1 Used my 12-100 mm f/4 lens. Swapped colors in Lightroom. also some editing in Photoshop.
This was another hot day in Thailand, but I was able to get some nice photos that day.

This is a very nice peaceful scene. All that is needed is a boat in the river for a center of interest. It is a wide open space with little to hold the attention and makes the eye follow the river out of the scene. Your technique was quite good as the colors are not overly saturated.
