About the Image(s)
This image was taken in Santa Fe several years ago It was my converted Sony NEX 7. I worked it in LR, and PS, cropped it, and converted it to B&W in Silver Effects. Hopefully, I can get out and do some newer work with my newer Sony. I did not take it to Japan, however.

This is a fine photo. I like the overall composing as well as the full scale of shades in this photo. I think it's perfect.   Posted: 12/09/2023 13:48:14
Great capture, Susan. I would work on lightening the darks in the background as the contrast is too strong and takes away from the beautiful butterfly.   Posted: 12/09/2023 15:15:06
Susan, I like the color original!   Posted: 12/09/2023 20:07:32
Thank you all for the feedback. After I posted it, I realized that the upper part of the image behind the butterfly did need some attention. I might try enhancing the butterfly and keeping the blue sky. That worked well in the image submitted by Debbie. Happy Holidays. Susan   Posted: 12/16/2023 15:20:43
I like the original so feel that you cropped too much off each side. Seeing the branch where the butterfly landed would tell a fuller story. The branch that goes to the top should be eliminated. The tonality of the finished image is good so do some experimenting with leaving more on both sides.   Posted: 12/19/2023 19:26:51
I like both images, but I think I like the color most. I would leave a bit more room in front of the butterfly on the crop.   Posted: 12/20/2023 15:03:22
