This image shows why we should take photos at the right time of day. What makes this shot is the shadows on the walkway from the railing boards. They combined with the railing and boards themselves to create nice leading lines to the subject person. The high contrast adds to the effect. Good visual impact. As suggestions: level the image and adjust perspective (see partial roof showing). I noticed that the red colour did not fully covered the man's shirt. The red is shifted away from his left shoulder to the rightside.

The shadows and leading lines are very effective in the shot. The composition is dead on, and the red on the shirt seems just the right touch to me. I agree with Bill that removing the building roof in the background is a good thing to do.   Posted: 05/12/2023 10:45:10

nice one Judy. The shadows lines work well. the red shirt is pretty bright but it seems to work. I'm not a fan of the porch not being level, removing the roof is a start. I might go so far as to remove all of the porch from the first pillar left of the walkway.   Posted: 05/18/2023 19:51:21
