About the Image(s)

My wife and I were wandering through an antique store recently and, as
I"m wont to do, I pulled out my phone and started photographing things
that caught my fancy. I find that such places don't really much care
when it's "just a phone". Anyway, I came across this old typewriter (a
favorite subject) and started working the angles. I switched the camera
to using the ultra wide angle lens and found I liked this angle best of
all. I shot this in raw and processed it in Lightroom Classic, using the
B&W 02 profile. I did some basic cropping and exposure work in LR, then
took it into Topaz Photo AI to sharpen it up a bit. Finally, I took it
into Photoshop for dodging and burning.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, Expert RAW app. ISO 1000, 22mm (full frame
equivalent), f/22, 1/25 second. Shot handheld.

I think your image is outstanding. Everything in the image works so well together as do the various mono shades. No suggestion.   Posted: 03/09/2023 08:26:03

Hello Henry,

I enjoyed viewing your antique typewriter with the wide-angle view and distortion. This rendition gives the typewriter an original new look, and I like it! Converting to black and white completes it as a classic look.   Posted: 03/18/2023 09:50:32

Excellent capture, Henry. The crispness and detail of the B&W brings it to life.

Well done!
