About the Image(s)

We stopped off in Albuquerque on the way home from Lake Havasu in April and visited Old Town where this 1706 mission still serves the community. Been there a few times and always visited this church. I thought this angle with the new tree buds/leaves was neat. The sky offered some contrasting clouds and it was a bright day. Post processing was limited to adjusting light levels and saturation. Canon 7D, f/10, 1/250.

Al, I especially like the composition of your image that gives so much depth. I believe your shot is sharp with beautiful contrasting colors, nice lines, and framed so well with the tree. I think the sky might be over saturated, but then it does give it a more artistic look. Perhaps just tone down the upper section to the right of the tree. Beautiful image that I would like to personally see.   Posted: 06/04/2018 15:59:43

Very well done image Al. The tower on the left looks great, but the one on the right leans a little too much into the overall composition in my humble opinion. I'm sure Photoshop could help straighten it out if you wanted to try. The colors are very dramatic. Very picturesque.   Posted: 06/04/2018 17:14:57

Beautiful image Al, very colorful, sharp and nice sky with clouds. I agree with Shirley that, the blue is a bit over saturated, you may consider to tone it down to give it a more realistic look.
I also agree with Gary and would consider to straighten the lines, especially the tower on the right.
Otherwise, it's a very nice colorful image indeed!   Posted: 06/07/2018 10:03:07

I really like this image as it is. It has a cartoonish feel which may not be what you intended. But it somehow reminds me of the type of art that Disney (Walt) studio may have produced. In this genre, it does not matter how far anything leans.   Posted: 06/09/2018 09:36:56

The blue sky seems to compliment the orange very well and adds to the spirituality - the vertical adjustment might also bring out the white crosses at the top by enlarging them. I don't think you need that much dark sky at the top and might crop or lighten but after the adjustment. Perhaps its OK to lean.   Posted: 06/13/2018 15:51:38
