About the Image(s)
I took 2 photos using a tripod so the composition was the same. Used my 100 mm Macro lens. The first photo sharp, second purposefully blurred, then brushed in what I wanted sharp or blurred in PS. I am attaching this from my iPad so dont have all my settings but nothing unusual in the settings. To blur the second photo I just used manual focus to unfocus it!

I like that technique! I'd have just taken the sharp one, then attacked it in my photo editor. I think this method is much better, the blending is delightful.
Aside that, I think it is a lovely calm photo. Personally, I would have put more blurred image in front of the sharper part rather than behind it, but either way, I do like it.   Posted: 08/01/2026 06:35:51

This is a beautiful image! I especially love the light coming through from the center; it really draws the eye. There isn't anything I would change about it; well done!   Posted: 08/17/2026 01:23:31

Very interesting technique and I like how the soft focus comes in and out as you look across the image. It has a very mystical look to it. Very nice!   Posted: 08/20/2026 13:14:54

Margaret I really like your image, the diffuse light, the colors and the texture. It is a calming image indeed.   Posted: 08/21/2026 19:08:18
