About the Image(s)
This was a focus stacking endeavor...and the bee wasn't really cooperating. Added to the fact that I was afraid to get too close! It was 15 images, narrow movement between images. The settings on my OMD-EM1 with 90mm Macro lens were: f10, 1/400 sec. shutter speed, and ISO 1/1250. I did have to do some basic adjustments in LR, but then I also took it into Photoshop and addressed a slight shadow from the focus stacking. Next I took it into Color Efex and brought out a bit more detail and then added a vignette. My achilles heel is still focus stacking...sometimes it works great, sometimes not so good, lol.

The detail here is amazing. Like the white fibers the bee is on to set him off and the colors are great. Love the photo!   Posted: 04/08/2026 11:59:17
