This is the macro detail of 2 juxtaposed sea fans that I found on the beach after a storm In Miami Beach. I found the texture and the movement fascinating and it looked sort of ethereal to my eyes. I liked the sharp “still live” parts hiding behind the dead blurry ones. It is part of my series on sea creatures.

A picture of many layers! I like it. The blurriness of the foreground and background are key to making the picture understandable, I think. The blurred foreground doesn't detract as it's darker than the mid layer, the main subject. Posted: 11/05/2025 22:53:28
