About the Image(s)
I used my Canon EOS R5, with a RF 24x240 mm F4-6.3 IS USM lens. The ISO was 200, 24mm F5, at 2.0 seconds.

I think this is a very clear picture of the business end of a camera. Rather more interesting than doing the same with a DSLR. I like the lack of detail outside the main components.
My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the reflection in the lens surface more interesting somehow. Even if done in post.   Posted: 07/06/2025 20:40:05

I'm loving this...it's a great, very artistic image. I don't understand that lens info...is it a macro lens? It would be really helpful to have more information about the How's for us so we all learn from each other. I do agree with Stuart about the lens reflection right in the center...it was the first thing I noticed. I have seen them replaced with another image; not saying you should do this, but it may need something, even if it is just darkening it down so it doesn't pull my eyes as a viewer right to it. With the horizontal lines, it unnecessarily detracted from an otherwise beautiful image.   Posted: 07/10/2025 18:03:51
Carol,
I am glad you liked the photo. I used my telephoto RF 24-240 mm lens for the shot. I agree with you and Stuart about the reflection in the lens, it is distracting. I will try to remedy this shortly.   Posted: 07/10/2025 19:50:31

I like the detail. everything is crisp and clear. not sure about the center lens but the fun part would be to put a photo of yourself in there :-)   Posted: 07/12/2025 23:57:48
John, interesting image and I like the black and white. Great sharpness. On the reflection.. it can go either way. Definitely the eye of the observer is drawn to it. To me is the most interesting part of the image and I agree you could play around with it.   Posted: 07/20/2025 15:02:21
