About the Image(s)
This empty Cape Cod bay scallop shell made it to my ongoing Impermanence series.
I love to eat scallops from that area, and birds do too.
I liked this shell because the light on it was nice and even if empty and now dead floating on the low tide, the colors were lovely.
Shot with Canon EOS 80D, 100 mm Canon Macro lens f 2.8 L USM
1/13 sec f/11 ISO100 with tripod
Used LR denoise and then dehazed a bit and adjusted blacks and whites.

this is a very nice shell, light on it is great, pinks & yellow in between the scallop lines is nicely captured and natural background is perfect. focus looks good - better near the pink/yellow and a little softer on edges - nice. yellow from sunshine give a nice warmth.   Posted: 12/21/2024 21:58:23
