About the Image(s)
ISO250, f2.8, Shutter Speed 1/320 on a 60mm macro lens. No tripod.
I think if I had it to do again, I might use a bigger f-stop (smaller aperture opening), but I actually liked the way the purple was more a presence than an actual stem.

I love this image Carol! You have such good eyes to capture the little enjoyment in life many people just walk pass. Love to see more of your pictures.   Posted: 11/10/2024 00:37:10

An interesting plant and like the colors. Would prefer to see more of a center of interest, perhaps if one area was more focused.   Posted: 11/10/2024 02:32:22

I also like the color combination and would not have guessed what it was without your explanation. I like the detail of the tiny webs cutting accross.   Posted: 11/13/2024 21:58:02

Well done, Carol. With the crazy world around us at the moment, it's a lovely restful yet interesting image. You are a master of minimal depth of field, and it succeeds again here, in my view.
Maybe make the stem a bit diagonal? It's a usual comment for pictures with this sort of composition.   Posted: 11/14/2024 07:53:48

after quickly looking at the bristly hairs, my eye went to the spider web! web and the biggest "hairs" are the in-focus areas. colors are really nice. not sure what the background is on the right - did you put a light black vingnette on or does the background have shadows on the edges?   Posted: 11/20/2024 04:08:12

Pat, I think it's shadows.   Posted: 11/20/2024 06:21:47
