About the Image(s)

We are away on holiday at the moment in Scotland, and so my photography for a few weeks is recording images from that. I even left my macro lens at home to save weight! But the odd one comes along, as did this fungus. Sprouting from the side of a tree trunk with attractive and complementary textures. Forgive me, it's a bit off my usual ~1:1 magnification, but I hope you like it. Autumn is the time for fungi, I hope to find lots more.

OM-1, 14-150mm Olympus lens at 150mm and closest possible focus, 1/30sec, f8, ISO 320, processed from RAW in Affinity.

This is lovely. I think the lighting on the mushroom is just right and the detail is really nice. Looks great against the dark wood.   Posted: 10/08/2024 00:34:59

Thanks, Margaret. I must admit though that the lighting is by courtesy of Affinity. The original was less well lit, but I thought a bit of help improved it.   Posted: 10/08/2024 08:05:43
