I found several of these colorful spiders a couple of months ago on a trail on Kangaroo Island south of Adelaide.
Canon EOS R5, 1/125, f/10, ISO 400, 300mm. cropping and enhancing contrast about all I did.

Leslie, we have them here in South Florida but they are black and red. Have the same horns. I understand that in Australia are called jewel spider. Nice closeup.   Posted: 07/02/2026 16:19:27

Leslie, Isaac beat me to it! We do indeed have something very close to this (color differences) here in South Florida. In fact at first I thought they were almost tiny crabs...but the web did not make sense! They like my patio !
