Wow! A perfect capture of a unique and beautiful eagle in challenging conditions. The snow flakes add the perfect effect. That must have been an incredible trip.   Posted: 04/03/2026 11:00:44
Great shot. Wonderful focus. Sea eagles have to eat even on snowy days. Expect above the arctic circle this is normal weather. Not normal for humans however, you must have been freezing.   Posted: 04/03/2026 15:48:48
Simply splendid, Peter. You nailed the focus. I wonder if your use of a 400 prime helped in that regard. Anyway, I love the crisp focus. Great action. And, as Gwen pointed out, the snowflakes in the background enhance the image and help to tell a good story. Print it!   Posted: 04/08/2026 21:25:14

This is a gorgeous image. The eye on both the eagle and the fish are sharp. You handled these challenging conditions superbly.   Posted: 04/12/2026 21:40:24
Nice one Peter! I have the 300 and considered adding the 400, but decided I did not need both. The occasions I would need anything beyond 600mm is rare and I use the adapters if I need more length. But they are sweet lens! Absolutely love their Prime G Masters! They are also manageable for handholding for long periods vs the huge lens that would quickly tire my arm. I can follow a bird with ease with the 300 and an adapter !
