About the Image(s)
This is a Nanday Parrot. They are a non-native species that have established in Florida over the years. They fly in large flocks, are social, smart, and boisterous. Sometimes they show up in my backyard, but a large flock is attracted to the bird feeders at the Audubon Celery Fields location in Sarasota. They are very fast and hard to catch in flight. In flight, their beautiful multiple colors are very noticeable and attractive.

OOh I love parrots! Lucky to have these invasives? I would like to know if they are displacing a native.
But they are gorgeous and you captured a great look at their colors...almost flying! Nice action.   Posted: 03/10/2025 18:33:34

I agree with Leslie. Great shot. Very colorful. Sharp detail. Invasive species can be trouble makers, as we all know. Did you really shoot with a 10,000 ISO? Somehow I suspect that's a typo. Very nice image.   Posted: 03/15/2025 18:09:52
No. The exif info said ISO 10,000. I wasn't sure that was correct either but it was narrow DOF and fast SS.

Hi Judy,
Beautiful shot. Great details on the feathers and you captured the gorgeous colors beautifully.
Was the ISO on Auto?   Posted: 03/21/2025 18:44:11
