"Interesting" was the first thought that entered my mind when I first looked at this shot. I agree with, Gwen. Kudos for selecting a subject that most of us probably never knew existed. Sharp focus. What an unusual "flora", and thanks for sharing...it is a great image, sharp clear, and stands out from the background. I also like the way you have either taken the image or cropped it to give an angular upward motion. My eye goes from bottom left to right top.
