About the Image(s)
The photo club I belong to took a field trip to photograph a few waterfalls in North Georgia in the hopes of capturing some fall colors. The water flow was very low since we have not had any rain in the past month. The Minnehaha falls was my favorite because of the multi-tiered cascades. I enhanced the photo by increasing the shadows and exposure in Lightroom. The leaves in some of the trees above the falls had just started to turn color but we saw some beautiful colors on the Tallulah river (fall colors.jpg).
Nikon z8, Nikkor z 24-70 f4s @ 24mm, 2s, f/22, ISO 500.

Lovely falls. Always tricky to get shadowy places to show nicely without overexposing the sky areas. I actually prefer you "original" better for the colors, reflections and peaceful feeling.   Posted: 11/07/2024 17:21:33

The fall colors in both photos shout out Nature. I like a slow shutter on waterfalls, however my monitor is showing more blue tones on the falls.
Can you talk about how your cropped your original photo. I can't see sky in the larger one, and they look quite different.   Posted: 11/10/2024 21:15:42

Hi Judy, sorry for the confusion. So the original is a completely different spot and different photograph. I wanted to share the beautiful fall colors on the Tallulah river (original photo). The Minnehaha falls in Rabun county GA is on Falls Creek.   Posted: 11/15/2024 20:18:20
