About the Image(s)
Magnolia's get planted all over SW Florida and they don't always do so well, because of the weather and the sandy soil. This photo is from a tree we lost in Hurricane Ian, after it had been re-staked after an earlier hurricane.
Nikon D750, 70-200 f/4 at f/5.6, ISO 640, 1/2000 because it was windy.

gorgeous magnolia flower, lighting perfect. Having the stamens (?) puddled on the bottom petal is a nice touch. Maybe burn the lighter areas in the background? Wish the petal on the left wasn't obscured, but probably hard to see the whole flower. So sorry to hear you lost the tree.   Posted: 11/07/2024 17:25:23

Gorgeous photograph. I agree with Leslies comments.
I love the Southern Magnolias. They are have the largest blooms of all the Magnolias. The bright red seeds from the pods in the fall are favorite of many bird species. Sorry you lost the tree.   Posted: 11/15/2024 20:05:44
