This street shot was snapped at night using ISO 6400, a 35mm lens, f/1.8 aperture, and a quick shutter speed of 1/800s. Taken from the hip, it captures a slice of downtown nightlife. I switched it to black and white with a hint of blue to keep that nighttime vibe. The man’s glance at the two women walking by, while his partner is absorbed in her phone, sets up an intriguing moment that makes you wonder what’s on their minds. The candid expressions and the urban backdrop bring out a story that’s full of depth and curiosity.--

Hi Keisha, I think this is a great street photo, it captures much more than just an image. The B&W rendering is great with it being nighttime and the grungy feel. I think it puts the viewer right in the image. To my eye you have framed the image perfectly and the shallow depth of field works very well. Well done. Posted: 01/07/2025 14:58:48
Hi Keisha, this image tells a story (or more of one story) and is technically perfect. I am amazed that with f/1.8 everything is so sharp. Well done
