About the Image(s)
I took this photo at The Rocks in Sydney. While there, I was a witness to this flash mob... and luckily I had my camera. The anxiety and anticipation on the young man's face was priceless. I like the colour version, but of course the young man's face says it all.
ISO 1600, f/5.6, 1/125 second.

This image is nice Susan. I think you are right the face of the man is telling a story. However, I think this is getting lost in the image. Everything that does matter in this picture is on the left of the image. If you crop from the right you can essentially get the image focus on the two people while still keeping some of the balloon that provide context. Another thing (but this is a very picky one), I think that if the woman had been a little less overimposed on the male the image would be stronger. The image is also a little soft, but I think this is because the compression.

Hi Michele,
I will give cropping a try. I was standing a distance away and keeping out of the way of the photographer who was there capturing the event for him. So there was no chance of a different angle at that moment. I think you make a good point - the young woman is quite prominent.   Posted: 12/17/2024 21:38:36
