I think this may be a mom cormorant with 2 young birds. This was taken with a Nikon Z8, 600mm, 1/1000s at f8. I took this from Elliston Point near Bonavista, Newfoundland. I did some processing using PS to bring out the black more in their feathers.

Cormorants don't do great nests do they? The chicks are being very polite and that dose not usually happen. Like the way the background enhances rather than distracts. Posted: 10/01/2026 10:13:46
