Thread Title: Stopping my Argh Moments
LC Boros
While I try to submit before the 9th and then return to do critiques within a week or so, sometimes I'm too fast/early and images from other group members are a bit late and go up after I've posted comments and I don't notice those images until the next month....the email notifications about replies are of little help as
So going forward you won't see comments from me until after the 15th of each month. I chose the 15th as that's when the Nature Study Group commenting period begins and instead of doing this DD group separately I'll just do all images for a month in one sitting.
Hopefully this will also extend the discussion period a bit. Plus I will also set a monthly reminder to recheck before the end of the month in case followup is needed.
also...so I have a turkey....anyone want him if he shows back up?

I get a notice every time a message is posted. Do you get that? Planning for one message a month may not be optimal, we need to go back and forth a few times (sometimes). Do what works best for you and let me know if I can help! As for the turkey - I vote for a reprieve!   Posted: 04/16/2024 14:21:08

As the Administrator of the group, you will get an email whenever a comment or reply is posted. Group members only receive emails when someone comments on their image or replies to one of their comments.   Posted: 04/16/2024 16:16:22

Thank you, Tom. LC, I did not understand. DD members only get notice when their image has a new comment. I stand by the turkey!   Posted: 04/16/2024 16:24:25

I get the notifications but the brevity of the contents means they end up cluttering my Inbox which I use as first line to-do list and need to keep tidy since I'm always handling multiple projects here at the ranch and a lot of my subs communicate via email. Unless you can change the s to include the reply content in the message body I rarely have the spare moment to click the link.
So for me, using a reminder to schedule time to come back and review conversations should be more efficient and effective.   Posted: 04/16/2024 20:49:11

so the idea is I set a reminder to come back a week later and recheck discussions. that way I won't miss discussions as well.   Posted: 04/16/2024 20:50:14

The management of DD prefers that members post their initial comments by the 20th at the very latest so that others can respond before the end of the month.
Regarding the turkey, you need to put out more seed for it so it puts on more weight. d;¬D   Posted: 04/16/2024 16:21:36

well the idea is I submit my initial comments around the 15th instead of rushing to get them done closer to the 9th of each month.   Posted: 04/16/2024 20:52:14
