About the Image(s)

Camera: OM1-MarkII Lens: 100-400mm
Focal length: 276 mm
1/1000 sec, f 7.1, ISO 200, manual

Post-Processing- Photoshop- sharpen, denoise, darken highlights, and cropped slightly.

I went up to Mount Blue Sky for the first time since it was closed. Up near the top was a mama and her yearling. Mama had a big collar so I focused on her yearling. I waited until the yearling was in front of the rock for better contrast.

Contrast of the rock makes the yearling stand out! He looks like he is smiling. Great shot!   Posted: 07/01/2026 17:24:33

This is an amazing dynamic picture. I love the way he is walking diagonally up a slope. The goat is sharp, good detail in the fur. The texture in the rocks is interesting. The snow on the top right is a little bright. Maybe try darkening it to match the snow on the top left? Or even play with cropping a little closer and getting rid of the snow on top right. I did that and cloned rock over the snow on the top left. Either way, it's a great photo!   Posted: 07/01/2026 17:39:50
