This photo was taken last year (still trying to learn how to shoot with my new camera - I'm getting there!) at Merritt Wildlife Refuge. One of my favorite birds. They are great fun to watch.

They are one of my favorites too. The detail and saturation are good. I would brighten the egret, especially around the head, and give it more space on the right and at the bottom if you have it. Posted: 12/17/2025 00:20:00

I love your egret. I like the delicate feathers in the tail and the water drop circles. I like the fairly low angle that you shot the image. I would leave a bit more space around the bird, increase the shadows and reduce the highlights to get more definition in the bird and water. Posted: 12/17/2025 15:50:23
