On September 25, 2025, I was walking to Chasm Falls in Rocky Mountain National Park when I spotted this young bull elk by himself. I started off with my 100-400 mm lens, but I wanted to include a sense of the environment, so I switched lenses. I did very little post processing in Photoshop. Very slight cropping needed. I took down the highlights as the ground was too bright and added a bit of saturation so the colors popped.
