I made this image at the botanical gardens in Scottsdale, Az. last month. It was pretty far away on a 20 foot tall cactus. Taken hand held with my Nikon Z8 and 28 to 400 lens at f/8, ISO 800 at 1/3200 sec. Processed in Lightroom and DxO Pure Raw.

Love it! The wren and the cactus are similar in color but the yellow on the wren stands out more possibly because of the cactus. The blue sky sets them both off beautifully! Nice shot. Posted: 04/06/2025 20:20:22
