The proboscis monkey or long-nosed monkey (Nasalis larvatus). A arboreal Old World monkey with an unusually large nose (or proboscis). Reddish-brown skin color and a long tail. It is endemic to the southeast Asian island of Borneo. Indonesian Kalimantan is part Borneo. A huge mangrove forests and on the coastal areas of the island. I took this shot in my recent visit to Tanjung Putting. General and partial edit all in LR. Your comments and suggestion are welcome.

What a great shot! The background dose not interfere but does give the setting and you can see the drops of water on the monkey. His eyes are great. I bet he took the bites out of the leave above him!   Posted: 04/01/2025 09:44:18
