About the Image(s)
This is a view of a lighthouse through some rocks in the waters off Gaspe, Canada.
I enhanced the colors of the rocks and water, sharpened and denoised. I added contrast to the rocks and lighthouse. I changed the sky to another one I had taken and added the birds.
I love the idea of it but keep feeling like it’s not quite right. I would love some suggestions. Get rid of the birds? Use a different sky? Try to enlarge the lighthouse?

Janet, this shot is absolutely stunning! Thanks so much for sharing the behind-the-scenes details. I absolutely love it, and I don't think I'd change a single thing. The bird is perfectly placed, and the foreground rock detail is incredible. The lighthouse in the distance adds a nice touch of depth, and I don't think I'd add any contrast to it. Overall, this photo captures a sense of depth and atmosphere that I really appreciate. Keep up the amazing work!   Posted: 01/08/2025 12:56:10

Thank you for your comments. Do you think the sky and water blend into each other too much?   Posted: 01/09/2025 19:46:08

Hi Janet. I love how you frame the light house with the arc rock. The flying bird just make the whole scene alive. Good shot.   Posted: 01/08/2025 18:45:19

Great composition Janet. I love the decisions you made to make a ho-hum capture into a stunning image. I don't think you have to make any changes.   Posted: 01/20/2025 17:29:06
