About the Image(s)
There were almost no birds this morning but there were raccoons! Thankful for small blessings.
Canon 77D, 200 zoom w/2x extender
Worked on subduing the background!

Ginny - what a great image of the raccoon. The lighting and exposure is right one. My only suggestion that could possibly make the image better is... I would like to see the end of it's tail and the bottom of his feet. I know that sometimes it is a fleeting shot and we are luck to have gotten it. I hope this is helpful.   Posted: 11/04/2024 14:34:35

I too wish the feet and tail were there but these guys were moving fast!   Posted: 11/04/2024 14:47:26

Yes, these little guys can be so fast. As Frans said they are not actors that will pose for us. I think Dan's suggestion is a great one. There are so many nice aspects in this image.   Posted: 11/05/2024 13:49:28

Uhm, birds staying clear of racoons maybe. I would try a tight crop of the subject's face, since you didn't get the tail and feet. That also removes the green foliage on the left. Nicely done Ginny   Posted: 11/04/2024 22:54:27

Hi Ginny. What a wonderful shot. I like the sharp eye. I agree with Barbara. Most viewers would like to see the whole body of the Racoon. In reality we cannot get everything in animal photography. They are not actress that can pose nicely for us. Dan has given you excellent suggestion to make tighter crop.   Posted: 11/05/2024 00:59:39
