About the Image(s)
In addition to the one I discussed last month, another much-loved "no drones in national parks" hack is to locate a nearby area outside the park's boundaries with similar scenery. Such an opportunity exists about 8 miles east of Badlands National Park just south of I-90.
I spent 5 days in the park last week and bit the bullet one morning to get up at an insanely early (4:15 am, yikes!) hour for dawn photography. I shot first, right at sunrise, in an east section inside the park, and then drove to this site. I was in the air at 6:15 am, after peak light, but still very nice.
In this image, I am about 350 feet up, ISO 200, five bracketed exposures. The mean exposure was just fine, and in post, I only used that one. DJI Air3S
I would be interested in members' thoughts on my crop. The base image is 9x16, which I reduced to 13x19. I didn't think the areas on either the left or right were that helpful.
