About the Image(s)
This is an image of work being done for a major restoration project on the Maumee River. I shot this with my DGI Mavic 2 Pro at f4. 1/640 second. In Lightroom, I cropped the original, darkened the highlights a little, and increased the vibrance.

I'm not sure what your intention for this scene was, but as an image to document the moment, this does its job. But as a work of fine art, it probably wouldn't fare well in photography competitions. The lighting is a bit dull, and the colors are a bit flat.
The composition isn't bad, and your crop is good, but I would crop in even tighter. The yellow equipment and its reflection are quite good, but the yellow barrier floats lead the eye right out of the picture, and the yellow pile on the left is a distraction. You might try desaturating or removing them all. (it raises the question of when does a leading line lead you further into the picture, or out of the picture. I think its bright color here pulls the eye down towards the brightest part, which is closer to the edge. Others might differ.)
I like the rocks leading away from the dock, but I wish they didn't block the edge of the reflection. If you had moved the drone a tiny bit more to the right, you might have gotten the entire reflection. That might be hard to see on a small screen on the remote controller... sometimes I have that problem.
And finally, saturate your colors more, and apply a vignette around the picture, ignoring the building.
Here is a quick a dirty edit I did. I noticed while zoomed in, it needs some noise removal (that might just be in the compressed copy).   Posted: 10/05/2025 15:53:50

Hi Drema, thanks for your well thought out comments. I like what you did with the image, especially the crop. I have no allusions that this image is contest worthy, it is just an interesting image that I took with my drone. I would not have considered even taking it with my DSLR but opportunities for drone photo can be scarce.   Posted: 10/05/2025 22:21:54
Hi Lou, it is interesting to see the work being done on bridge. I agree that with Drema that the image was a little flat, her enhancements made the scene pop with more brilliant colors.   Posted: 10/06/2025 23:55:18
