About the Image(s)
Finally found something that felt like my type of photo. I found this abandoned site where a Days Inn hotel used to be. Off of Interstate 80, near Danville, PA, on my drive from Pennsylvania to Connecticut.
A little abstract crop of the original edit. Original 1 is the first edit, auto in LR, then removed my car from the left. I went with black and white, not sure about that though. I usually like bright colors, but none were there.
Shot today! Cinco de Mayo…

I feel like I'm in "The Last of Us"! Perhaps you could have cloned in a ravenous zombie or two?
Seriously, I think your processing could have used more contrast, or at least blacker blacks. And if there was an area in particular you wanted to call viewer's attention to (maybe the structure in the lower right that still has some walls standing?) some vignetting.
I did liked very much the abstract feel in the image   Posted: 05/06/2025 15:30:31

Once I posted it, I wasn't happy with the contrast either. I was really looking at it abstract-ed-ly (is that a word), and not looking for one particular area of interest. I did consciously keep the parking lines in the top row when I cropped.
I was there late in the day, and it felt like zombies could have been coming for me, I was looking around a lot.   Posted: 05/06/2025 15:47:20

Hi Lisa, I love this type of image and I think that you did a great job capturing it. I like the B&W rendering and I agree that the image could use more contrast. In my opinion this would did well in color too. I think that you could really saturate the colors a lot but of course that would probably lose the zombie feeling.   Posted: 05/11/2025 15:25:27
