Another photo taken last year in downtown Milwaukee. The building with the clock tower at the bottom of the image is the City Hall. It was completed in 1895 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It is one of my favorite buildings in Milwaukee to photograph.
I liked how the colors turned out in this image, but the triangular-shaped footprint of the building made the composition a little difficult. The curbline at the bottom looked oddly curved, so I used Photoshop's Transform Warp tool to stretch it down a bit. I also used a Dodge and Burn layer to lighten some of the buildings in the upper left and the top of the tower, and to darken some of the overly bright spots. Then I created a curves layer to apply a slight vignette to the image.

Really a good one! Love the colors and the composition pulls you right thru the image. The image looks very sharp and well processed
My only input was the top and right might have been a bit tight.   Posted: 05/05/2025 04:34:13

HI Drema, well done with the perspective corrections. I think that this is a great image. I love the subject and the composition, the clock tower definitely draws my attention. To my eye the image is a little tight on the right but I think that the top is good, I would not put any more sky in the image.   Posted: 05/11/2025 15:29:34

Well done with the processing, definitely an interesting building. I would like to see more of the facade but I do understand getting the shot from this angle.   Posted: 05/12/2025 00:02:55
