About the Image(s)
The painting on this tower is visible from the ground but it really shows up when viewed from 100 feet! Shot with the setting sunset behind the camera.
I tried a 5-shot HDR image which appeared to make the sky very noisy - ISO 100, shutter @ 1/50s and f/2.8, DJI Air 2s.
Any ideas why the sky is noisy with HDR but not with a standard processing?

I like how you shot the face level. And the light is great
Yes, the sky seems problematic. I see areas of blowout and other anomalies. I think sticking closer to the original capture might have been better
Noisy HDR results -- I can't help. Are your images shot in RAW?   Posted: 04/08/2025 03:04:22

Thanks Pete. Yes to raw, photos captured using DNG format. I just shot this within the the week, will spend more time working with the sky.   Posted: 04/08/2025 19:47:49
Hi Richard, great image, I love the eye level view of the turtle. I think that the composition and colors are very nice. I also have had some problems with HDR in the past.   Posted: 04/10/2025 14:29:50
Great image! I love the turtle on the tank (all we have in our area is the name of the city or locale on the tank :(
Yes, the sky is problematic on the finished image. You could crop a little more at the top to get closer to the cloud layer. But you have lost some of the color I see in Original 2. I don't know why that would have so much noise. How did you process it, and what software product did you use to do it? HDR itself should not cause this much noise.   Posted: 04/13/2025 16:50:49
