About the Image(s)

Images was taken last year, in Utah near Knab, along the Potash Rd. The photo was not modify much. I could not go higher to capture more of these pools.

These are pools of water from the Colorado River, pumped hundred of feet down to layers with Potassium Chloride crystals. Then the dissolved crystals are pumped back and deposited in these pools to evaporate.

Once evaporated the product is used primarily in fertilizer and other products.
The blues comes from a blue dye added to help evaporation.

The road seen to the right of the image, was the same road seen in my prior submission of Red Cliffs.
