About the Image(s)
This is another view of Vestrahorn Mountain in Iceland. This one I took looking to the west. I really underexposed the mountains in the original, I should have bracketed my exposures, but I don't think of doing that with my drone images. I shot this image with my Mavic 2 Pro, at f5.6, ISO 100, 1/640 second. I had to really lighten the shadows in Lightroom. Also in LR, I cropped the image, masked the sky, added saturation, and toned down the highlights in the water.

Nice to see a different view of Vestrahorn besides the iconic view! Lovely sky! Be careful when saturating the sky on the right side... I think it has a little too much cyan. Also, it's good that you lightened the mountains, but they look a little flat. I would add a little more contrast back in and darken them a tiny bit.
Good job with the water.   Posted: 01/10/2025 23:10:37

Hi Drema, thanks for the comments. You reminded me before about the sky, I need to pay closer attention to that when I make changes. The mountains do look flat, I worked with them but could not get a look that I really like. I'm going to take you suggestion and see if I can improve their look. Thanks Again.   Posted: 01/14/2025 21:01:53

Very nice photo, again make me wish we had better weather during our visit. I agree with Drema's comments concerning the background mtns. You did a good job with the processing the image.   Posted: 01/14/2025 01:22:54

I knew we were in for not idea weather- the airport was closed for two days before our arrival due to high winds and the winds did abate enough for our plane to make the trip but still quite windy during our visit. I'm planning another trip August, 2026.   Posted: 01/15/2025 17:21:15
