About the Image(s)
2019, Phoenix Arizona
From my old DJI Spark, which only took jpeg images, not raw.
Frame grab from the video, inspired by Mike's image this month. I thought that I had some top down shots as well, but none were that great. Need to go back!
I liked the silhouette of the cactus with the sunset. I suppose it could have been taken with a 'normal' camera, but it was my trusty Spark.

It's a beautiful sky with the cacti silhouetted. Perhaps cropping more of the foreground might add to the image.   Posted: 12/05/2024 21:06:43

Hi Lisa, I think that you did a nice job with your trusty Spark. The sky looks great, I love the colors in it and the cacti are silhouetted very well. I agree with Richard that a crop might make for a stronger image. To my eye I think that cropping off the two cacti on the left and some of the foreground might strengthen the composition.   Posted: 12/08/2024 00:07:58

In post the foreground could have been brightened, as well as the shadows in general. The image seems very soft but that is probably because the resolution is so low. If you had more sky at the top I would have used it, the highest cactus is pretty tight.   Posted: 12/12/2024 23:01:45
